More sustainable: Higher performance, smaller bearing and gearbox sizes, further reducing emissions
Madis ZINK: "Our new high-efficiency ball bearings can improve the efficiency of the drive system and help promote the popularization of electric vehicles as everyday transportation." Bearings are one of the key components of a car: whether it is an internal combustion engine vehicle, a hybrid vehicle, or an electric vehicle, it is inseparable from bearings. Schaeffler has launched a new high-efficiency ball bearing with a centrifugal disc, which can effectively reduce the carbon emissions of internal combustion engine and hybrid vehicles and extend the driving range of electric vehicles. The bearing weight is only 300g and the diameter is between 5 and 10cm depending on the specific application.
Mardis Zink, CEO of Schaeffler's Automotive Technology Division, said: "Schaeffler's ability to innovate is key to the successful development of the company's automotive business and the Group as a whole. Our new high-efficiency ball bearings can improve the efficiency of the drive system and help promote the popularization of electric vehicles as everyday transportation."
